A large river, both edges talking to each other and a surrounding ecosystem. Let's move towards new colors of earth the worlds biggest forest "The Amazon Rain forest".

Our journey will surely be joyful, exciting, mysterious, scary and very natural.Amazon Rain forest was discovered by the Spanish solders "Francisco Di Orilldha" in 1951. The name Amazon is derived from the Greek word which refer as "Female warriors".Amazon is at least 55 million years old. Amazon forest is very dark and dense that's why sunlight doesn't reach in most of the areas. Amazon is a forest where time has stopped.

The "Amazon Rain forest" is the largest rain forest in the world. It extends in an area of about 4828 km from the Andes Mountain to the Atlantic Ocean. The rain forest covers parts of Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Bolivia and Venezuela and one third of South America.Amazon produces about 20 percent of our Oxygen. Amazon is the Oxygen producer and a critical in absorber of "Carbon Dioxide". The Amazing fact is that this Amazon absorbs about 2 billions tons of CO2 every year.In other words we can say "Amazon is lifeline to our Planet Earth".Dense trees, long river, dangerous and diverse species, tribal people, their culture make the place different. Let's try to know the different facts of "Amazon".

Every year Amazon Rainforest recives about 150 mm to 300 mm rainfall.

The Amazon River flows miles in the forest. Its looks so beautiful, looks like the edges wants to tell a beautiful story. How interesting is that Amazon river is the second longest river in the world, the first longest river is river "Nile", Egypt. The length of Amazon river is 3976 miles(6400 km). The Amazon basin is a part of South America drained by the Amazon river and it's tributaries. The Amazon basin covers an area of about 6300,000 km2. It is the home to a large number of water species. The Amazon river is the largest source of fresh water.

Lots of mysterious left behind, a little secret is that "Amazon is also a dangerous place".
The Amazon is filled with a amazing creatures. They have their own world, they are attackers. Most of the snakes are venomous. Some of the dangerous animals found in the Amazon are 1- Jaguar 2- Turtle Shell 3- Spider 4- Monkey 5- Golden lion 6- Puma 7- Sloth 8- Macaw 9- Giant Anteater 10- Frog , brightly colored with skin secreting a deadly nerve poison and many more species. It contains one in 10 known species on Earth, 40000 plant species, 3000 fresh water fish species and 370 types of reptiles.

Human that are very natural ,far away from the fantasy world, living simply and happily in the Amazon
Rain forest Let's talk about Amazon tribes. There are many tribal groups spending their lives in the forest. As estimated , about 2000 tribes are living in the forest. These tribes are known as "indigenous" people, having lived in rain forest for many thousand of years. Many of these people, such as the Caribs have disappeared completely. These ethnic groups have their own language and culture. They don't have any contacts with the outside world. They are completely dependent on the nature. Beside hunting, gathering, wild fruits, nuts and fishing.Indigenous group also plant a small gardens as other sources of food. They use sustainable farming methods called shifting cultivation.
Many Indigenous groups have also been killed and driven off by settlers, wanting their lands, or enslaved to work the sugar plantation mines.

In Amazon forest there is a  Mysterious River called the "Boiling River", sounds like a "Jules Verne" tale.A boiling river that seems to flow from the center of the earth and kills any thing that fall in to it.Andre's Ruzo, a national geographic first heard about it from his grandfather.

Our journey is full of entertainment, mysterious, natural but last color is very painful.
Let's have a look,Amazon Rain forest is often referred to as the lungs of our planet. Any intentional destruction of this unique habitat is therefore a matter of great concern.Deforestation has been taking place from many years and still continues albeit at a slower rate than before. The major cause of deforestation has been logging for the timber industry, clearing of land for crop growing. To protect the forest , the government should form strict norms and implement accordingly.

The summer fires are also a cause of destruction in the forest. These fires continue for days and months destroying hundred and thousands of trees. Steps should be taken to control these fires otherwise it will leave a gap that can not be filled for years.
Now let's end our journey to the "Amazon Rain forest", so that we can meet soon in our next journey.

Stay safe, stay indoors.
