Luang Prabang is famous for different Art,  Culture and Dances. In my first post you have seen one side of the Coin that was the Spirituality of God and Beauty of Nature. Let's have a look of other side of Coin.

Phralam Theatre

Luang Prabang is world famous for its Picture sque charm. The Theatre is situated in the left wing of the surrounding walls of the Royal Place in front of Luang Prabang Pagodo. The theatre was originally a reception hall. Today a museum, the place is host to magnificent collection, and  home to one of the most  beautiful artistic companies of Laos, the Royal Balled of Pharalok Phralam more than one hundred dancer's and Musicians bring the magnificent Lao Ramayana epic to life over two hours.

We can also admire the unique and very ancient Royal dance, called Nang Kheo, which also contributes to the originality of the city of Luang Prabang. The living Art constitute an important part of the priceless heritage of the city.

Phralak Phralam has to be understood as a fantastic story involving a multitude story of divine Charectar. Luang Prabang is a glace of Indian Culture, Indian Culture is unique and beautiful and full of Spirituality I don't have words to explain. The dream like epic of Indian origin tells the story of Prince Phra Lam (Rama) and of the Infinite love he shares with attractive Princes Sita Regrettably the love is disturbed by the jealousy if Totsakhan ( Ravana) who using skillful subterfuge kidnaps the princes and take her to Lanka Island, the island of the gaints ( NiaksRaksha) jatayu the vulture king, son of Garuda, brings the proof of the kidnapping to the phra Lam by showing him Sida's ring lost during her flight to Lanka. On this quest Phra Lak's lost love, his brother Lakshmana accompanies him, helped by the Army of the Monkeys under the command of Hanuman and his generals. After a long and hard battle over the sea, the miserable king of Lanka is and his army of gaints decimated on returning to princely palace after the jubilation of celebration Phra Lam momentarely doubts the real loyalty of Sita during this long stay with her enemy. Sita proves her innocence by submitting herself to an ordial by fire and all ends in order and Peace.

TAEC ( The Traditional Art and Ethnology Centre ) 

The Traditional Art and Ethnology Centre is an engaging culturally rich learning. Centre of TAEC is located in the heart of Luang Prabang Lao PDR.

Since 2007, TAEC has inspired visitors by exploring, celebrating and preserving the diverse ethnic culture and people of Laos through professionally curated permanent and special exhibitions, event and craft workshop. TAEC is home to an International ly significant collection of over 539 objects representing over 27 distinct ethnic group. The collection is compromised of traditional clothing and domestic textile, jwellery and household items. The collection is documented stored, and maintained according to Museum standards. Exhibitions is presented in Lao and English Translation booklets are available in French and German.

Khmu

The word "khmu" came to the Laos thousands of year ago, with many setting in Luang Prabang. They relay on the forest for growing rice, hunting and gethering and producing Woven Rattan and Bamboo Basketry, Tools and Net Bages as well as Lao Lai.

Homong

The Homong migrated from China to Luang Prabang in the 19th century, establishing hill top villages with Thatch - Roofed buses throughout the province. They are skilled at Hunting, mixing herbal medicines and raising animals, intricate embroidery and heavy Jwellery adorn Women Clothes.

Tai Dam

 Ancestors of Luang Prabang Tai Dam migrated to the old Capitals Valley from north western Vietnam in the Late 19th century unlike Buddhist Tai Group. Tai Dam worship and their Women wear colorful head scarves and tight fitting Shirt with silver button and produce fine Silk and Cotton Textiles.

The Yao 

The Yao, also known as the Mieh, are highland people, who migrated from China in the 19 th Century. There houses are made of durable Hardwood, and known to be large and Sturdy. They grow rice and Corn , and gather forest products such as Resins and Honey. The Yao Women embroider Garments with detailed naturals motifs. The men wear earings and embroidered tunic, while women dress in eloborate costumes with bright red collers.
